I don't believe the evidence has to reflect distinct targeting for the case to be made against police brutality and the problematic nature of immunity for police officers with a history of violence. Historically, law enforcement has terrorized the Black community in America. Not always has this terror led to lethal violence but let's not dismiss the fact that just because there is not a casualty derived from the interaction does this make it any less troubling. Any state agency that kills its citizens, civilians on this case, who, under better scrutiny did not have weapons or the means by which to harm or kill the police officer, deserves to be criticized into oblivion until it is reformed. I am in favor of solving this issue for all Americans (Canadians and Brazilians).
